The HVLock® high-voltage platform from AMPHENOL COMMUNICATIONS SOLUTIONS was specifically developed as a wire-to-board connector to optimally align electrical performance, compact size, and integration capability with the requirements of modern OEM systems. The single-row connector system features active locking, coding, CPA (Connector Position Assurance), and PLR (Primary Lock Reinforcement), offering a pitch of 4.50mm and a rated current of 3A.

The connector supports operating voltages of up to 1200V, a current rating of 3A, and cable cross-sections from AWG22 to AWG20. It is available in 3- to 10-position versions, with options for right-angle or straight orientation, as well as THT or SMT mounting. The HVLock® meets the automotive standards USCAR-2 T2V2 and LV-214 S2 (certification in progress). Learn more about HV & E-Mobility.
How Does the HVLock® High-Voltage Connector Support the Reliability of BMS?
The battery management system (BMS) continuously monitors the charging and discharging processes of the battery pack as well as the individual cell voltages. Based on this data, the state of discharge of the battery and several other functions can be determined. The HVLock® high-voltage connector ensures stable, precise, and vibration-resistant connections in battery management systems. Thanks to its robust locking mechanism and compliance with stringent automotive standards, sensitive charging and cell voltage data is transmitted reliably - even in demanding high-voltage applications.
