The latest product update focuses on compact package sizes with 5mm and 6.3mm diameters, targeting greater design flexibility while maintaining high power density. At the center of this update is the FVC series, a miniaturized SMD solution for demanding applications.

The FVC series belongs to the 3rd generation of Al-Polymer hybrid capacitors and offers high temperature and ripple current capability with particularly high capacitance. The maximum rated temperature is 125°C, with a guaranteed lifetime of 4,000hours. The voltage range starts at 6.3V, making the series especially suitable for low-voltage applications.
Available Sizes and Technical Data
In the 5×6mm package, voltages from 6.3V to 25V with capacitances of 68µF to 220µF are available. For 6.3mm diameter, heights of 6mm and 7.7mm are offered, covering a voltage range from 6.3V to 35V and capacitances from 68µF to 560µF. Despite their compact size, the series achieves a rated ripple current of up to 2,800mA@105°C/4,000h or 1,000mA@125°C/4,000h.
FEC Series as THT Variant
Additionally, SUNCON offers the FEC series as a THT variant in the 6.3×7.2mm package. It covers voltages from 6.3V to 35V and capacitances from 120µF to 560µF, with a maximum rated ripple current of 4,200mA@105°C/4,000h or 1,500mA@125°C/4,000h.
