HIROSE Introduces ZE05 Series: Robust Automotive Connectors for Harsh Environments
As the automotive industry continues to evolve, so does the demand for connectors that can withstand harsh environmental conditions, strong vibrations and extreme temperatures. For this reason, HIROSE has developed the ZE05 series as part of its growing portfolio of automotive connectors.
Miniature Automotive Connector for Reliable and Flexible Design
The ZE05 is a flat and robust miniature connector with a 2mm pitch. The polarisation ensures correct mating. With a temperature range of up to 125°C, it fulfils the requirements of the automotive industry.
The connector is available in both right-angle and straight versions, offering a high degree of design flexibility. Both versions feature surface mount contacts with metal sockets in DIP solder or surface mount technology to ensure high reliability on the PCB. The crimp contacts are designed for conductor cross-sections from AWG20 to AWG22.
In addition, the ZE05 housing has an integrated rib design that reduces the distance between the mated parts and thus improves vibration isolation to ensure a durable and reliable connection. Retainers are also available to achieve higher retention forces.
Suitable applications include battery management systems, monitoring sensors, engine controls, electronic control units, on-board chargers, inverters, robotics/automation and various communication systems for electronic control units in motor vehicles.
