Optical Touchless Sensor NJL5830R

In COVID-19 times a lot of new developments are done in the contactless area. NJR has developed a very small optical module, the NJL5830R, which measures just 3,6x5,8mm.

The module consists of an IR-LED and one Photodetector-IC in the same package. As measurement distance, the sensor can be continuously adjusted from 5mm to 5cm detection range. For easy integration in the design, the module has a digital output. The temperature range is specified as -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for outdoor use.
