Optical Performance

The compact 5.0-inch display in wide format (16:9) features a resolution of 800×480 pixels and uses the proven RGB (TTL) interface for image data transmission. With 24-bit control (equivalent to an 8-bit color depth), it is capable of displaying up to 16.7 million colors. The display offers outstanding optical performance thanks to advanced IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology, ensuring excellent readability from all viewing angles. With a viewing angle of at least 80°, the image remains clear and color-stable from any position. A high contrast ratio of 1200:1 provides particularly vivid and detailed image reproduction.

Typical Lifetime

The backlight achieves a typical lifetime of at least 50,000 hours and delivers a brightness of 850cd/m², ensuring excellent visibility even in bright sunlight or outdoor environments.

Capacitive Multi-Touch Sensor

In addition, the display is equipped with a capacitive multi-touch sensor that recognizes up to five simultaneous touch points. Touch data is transmitted via an I²C interface. In its standard version, the LCD is fitted with a 0.7mm thin cover glass. Upon request, customized front glass options – such as different thicknesses, printed surfaces, or special dimensions – are available. The touch controller can also be adapted to meet specific requirements, including glove operation, moisture detection, or palm rejection (ignores unwanted touches from the palm of the hand).
