New Electrolytic Capacitor Series HXW by RUBYCON
Further Development of the QXW Series
RUBYCON announced HXW series as a further development of the QXW series offering higher capacitance and higher ripple current.
Input smoothing capacitors for power supplies are constantly required to be miniaturized and reduced in number by increasing its capacity. Until today, RUBYCON has the line up with QXW series (105degC 2,000 hours), CXW series (105degC 5,000 hours) and TXW series/BXW series (105degC 10,000 to 12,000 hours) to cover such demand. On the other hand, RUBYCON is constantly working on expanding the existing line up.
In order to meet market needs, RUBYCON has announced a new radial lead aluminium electrolytic capacitor series (HXW) as down sized/higher capacitance series of QXW series, which meets 105degC and 2,000 to 3,000hrs lifetime. HXW Series gives 44% higher capacitance and up to 42% higher ripple current in the same cap size.
Technical Improvements Thanks to New Aluminium Foil
Such technical improvements were only made possible by using new aluminium foil with higher capacitance, high conductivity electrolyte and low-density spacer paper. Rated voltage has been extended to the range of 500V, which is necessary for several application like server or industrial.
HXW series has wide size types such as Φ10×30 to Φ18×50 and is suitable for thin type power supply by horizontal mounting. Moreover, the operating temperature has been lowered down to - 40ºC, so it can be used even for wider range of applications.
