Cost-Effective Alternative to Flex-Rigid
SUMIDA offers PANTA© SMD, a more cost-effective alternative compared to the rigid-flex PCB. The SMD solution offers multiple layout options and is less expensive than using rigid-flex PCBs.
The use of SMD jumpers combines a familiar pick-and-place process with reflow soldering and the use of standard FR4 PCB material, which also reduces unit costs. As a result, this SMD solution is widely used in automotive, industrial and medical applications.
