15.6” Display With Wide Temperature Range

AMPIRE has launched a 15.6" TFT display with a Full HD resolution of 1920*1080 pixels that is ideal for outdoor applications such as public info terminals and charging stations.

The colour palette features 16.7 million colours. The display is manufactured using IPS (In-Plane-Switching) technology, which ensures a perfect image from all viewing directions without shifting the colours. The viewing angle is 170° horizontally and vertically.
The 1000cd/m² backlight, together with a contrast ratio of 1000:1, make the display easy to read even in sunlight.
The wide temperature range from -30°C to +85°C makes the display ideal for outdoor use even in extreme weather conditions. The LCD is provided with data via a 2-channel LVDS interface.
The display is supplied with 3.3V and the integrated backlight driver is operated at 12V. The LED-backlight can be dimmed via a PWM signal. The minimum lifetime is 50,000 hours.
Of course, a projected capacitive touch is an option. The front glass can be customised. This turns the glass into a design element and, with the appropriate thickness, also offers sufficient protection against vandalism. The minimum quantity for customisation is 500 pieces. When used in very bright environments, the reduction of reflections through optical bonding is useful and possible.
