Suitable for a Worldwide Use

KEMET´s PME271Y series is constructed as wound multilayer metallised impregnated paper capacitor that is encapsulated in self-extinguishing resin, and suitable for a worldwide use as an EMI Y2 capacitor for line to earth-applications.

Following advantages are offered compared to metallised polypropylene capacitors:

  • Significantly better pulse rise time dv/dt (V/µs)
  • Excellent stability and reliability, particularly in applications with continuous operation
  • Highest possible safety regarding active and passive flammability
  • Higher heat withstanding during soldering process

KEMET has two versions available – PME271Y with 250Vac and PME271Y A-E with 300Vac. The capacitance range goes from 1nF to 150nF with a pitch of leads of 10.2 to 25.4mm. An operating temperature range of -40°C to 115°C is provided by the 300Vac-version (250Vac version has -40 °C to 100°C).
