V2S200D Vibration Sensor for Ambient Noise Suppression

Based on many years of experience in the development of MEMS microphones, KNOWLES has developed a vibration sensor with high bandwidth and low power consumption.

High Bandwidth and Low Power Consumption

Based on many years of experience in the development of MEMS microphones, KNOWLES has developed a vibration sensor with high bandwidth and low power consumption to improve call quality in noisy environments and to detect faults in rotating machinery.

V2S200D - Designed for a Comfortable and Frustration-Free Voice Call Experience

This sensor uses vibration to reject ambient noise. This capability allows it to be used in an entirely new area such as predictive maintenance, when a particular profile of an engine changes over time and indicates a possible failure.

More than ever, consumers use audio devices, such as True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, for voice communications and calling on the move, often in loud public environments. Outdoor and wind noise, in particular, can severely degrade voice call clarity. V2S200D is designed to selectively pick up the speaker’s voice while suppressing all the other sounds, allowing for a comfortable and frustration-free voice call experience.

Improving the quality of voice calls, detecting voice activity, imposter rejection and personalisation are just some of the applications for this sensor.

V2S200D, with its small size, high Signal-to-Noise ratio (SNR), and low power, has a PDM interface. It is available in samples now and also mounted on a flex band for simple evaluation in different use cases.

Product Details:

  • 64.5dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) in a small footprint
  • High SNR & B/W for clear voice pick-up in loud/windy conditions
  • Low power consumption for always-on usage
  • 50dB acoustic isolation in a noisy environment (bars, airports, windy outdoor spaces)
  • Easy integration with PDM interface; stereo mode supported
