Versatile Radar Module With Dual Functionality
NISSHINBO has enhanced its NJR4267 Doppler radar module to support both long-range detection and touchless switch applications. Operating at a radar frequency of 24GHz, the module offers a range of key features: high sensitivity, an integrated human detection algorithm with ambient noise suppression, low power consumption (only 1.5mA at 3.8V operating voltage), and a wide operating temperature range from -30°C to +85°C.

Two variants of the module are available: one variant with a detection range of up to 20 meters and another variant reaching up to 55 meters. The 20-meter version provides the optimal detection zone, featuring a wide detection angle of up to 110 degrees. This makes it particularly well-suited for applications such as high bay lighting. When mounted on a ceiling at a height of 10 meters, it can effectively monitor a square area of 20x20 meters.
Integrated Algorithm for Touchless Switching
In addition, the module incorporates an algorithm that enables use as a touchless switch. In this mode, it can detect movement direction (approaching or departing), filter speeds, and suppress environmental noise – ideal for precise, contact-free operation.
