New Hybrid Capacitor Series PKV/PZK

RUBYCON has launched two new electrolytic hybrid capacitors series PKV (SMD) & PZK (THT) for 125°C and 4,000 hours.

Lower ESR and Higher Ripple Current Capability

RUBYCON has launched two new electrolytic hybrid capacitors series PKV (SMD) & PZK (THT) for 125°C and 4,000 hours. These capacitors have the advantage of lower ESR and higher ripple current capability compared to the original aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

With this update, RUBYCON can meet the market demands for ever higher capacities with ultra-high ripple current needed to drive high power applications.

One solution is to make the capacitors larger. Therefore, RUBYCON has developed larger designs up to 10x16.5mm (SMD) and 10x20mm (THT) to meet the demand for ultra-high ripple current and high capacitance. However, this requires sufficient space for the installation of the capacitors.

For limited space, RUBYCON's new PKV/PZK series has been developed to achieve higher capacitance than the existing PJV/PZJ series on the market. The capacity has been increased by approx. 20% compared to PJV/ PZJ and by 70% compared to PFV/PZF with identical dimensions.

The currently available designs are 8x10.5mm and 10x10.5mm and allow you to save space accordingly. Even if your requirements are not covered by the catalogue values, RUBYCON always has some margin to adapt the component to your specific needs. We will be happy to assist you in finding a suitable solution.

Applications:

Use is widespread and ranges from consumer to automotive applications:

  • Electric pumps
  • Automotive electronics (EPS: Electronic Power Steering, ABS: Automatic Break Systems, etc.)
  • Electrical tools
  • Power supplies and adaptors
  • Home appliances

The series are available as samples and for mass production.
