  • MPS solutions and application examples
  • Summary and Q&A

Good to know: The webinar will be conducted in English by CODICO together with technical experts from MPS. After registering, you will receive the access details by email a few days prior to the webinar.

A battery management system monitors and protects all cells within a battery pack. Differences already become apparent in the balancing approach. Through intelligent active energy transfer, weaker cells can be supported by stronger cells instead of wasting valuable energy as heat. While these protection functions operate in the background, customers expect an accurate state-of-charge indication and a reliable remaining runtime prediction across the entire temperature range – without unexpected shutdowns or performance losses.

Precise State of Charge (SoC): Measurement of each individual cell rather than only the total pack.

Combined SoC models: Coulomb counting and open-circuit voltage for even more accurate SoC determination.

MPS proprietary cell model: Whatever your application, MPS provides the appropriate mathematical model integrated in the IC.

Self-learning BMS: Automatically adapts to your application during operation.

Maximum battery utilization: No energy is wasted thanks to active balancing.

Extended lifetime: Uniform balancing based on SoC rather than cell voltage.

Early detection of aging and defects: Comprehensive access to cell parameters supports risk assessment in accordance with ISO 13849.

Additional practical features: Soft-start replaces external pre-charge circuits and reduces overall system cost.
