GOODSKY's GQ Relay Now Available as Ex Proof
New GQ Relay Is Also Motor Loads Approved
The innovative, next generation GQ relay series from GOODSKY has been extended by an additional variant. The number of applications where a sealed version of the relay is needed to meet the requirements of IEC 60079 – 15 explosion proof is increasing steadily in a lot of industries such as home appliances, building management, heating controls and industrial controls.
GOODSKY has decided to extend their product range by such a version. The new variant is available both as samples and series production. UL approval has been started and the extension of the UL file is expected within Q1 2021.

Applicable standards are IEC 60079-0, 7th Ed, IEC 60079-15, 5 Ed, EN IEC 60079-0, Issued 2018-07, EN IEC 60079-15, Issued 2019-04 for ambient -40 to +80°C
Additionally the UL file has been extended by HP ratings – motor loads for the 16A version:
- ½ HP, 125VAC, 20.000 cycles at 105° ambient
- 1HP, 277VAC, 20.000 cycles at 105°C ambient
