High Ripple Currents at Small Hybrid Capacitors

SUN's Wide Product Range

The Japanese manufacturer SUN offers a wide product range of hybrid capacitors, which is also constantly being expanded. The portfolio includes various series with different ripple current ratings. High ripple currents can now also be handled in small dimensions.

We have already presented the HVPY and HVTY series for extremely high ripple currents in our IMPULSE 2/2019 issue. However, these are only available in case sizes 10x10.5mm and 10x12.5mm.

With the high ripple current capability versions HVPX (125°C) and HVTX (135°C), SUN now offers a remarkable electrical load of up to 2,100mArms also in compact dimensions (6.3x6.0mm and 6.3x7.7mm). The guaranteed life time is up to 4,000 hours. For automotive applications, these capacitors are also AEC-Q200 certified.
